If you’re a Florida native, you’re no rookie to hurricane season. September is National Preparedness Month and that means it’s time to take out that checklist and make sure your home and family is prepared in the event of a storm hitting the Space Coast. As your Viera home insurance professionals, we want to make sure to give you all the tools and tips of the trade to stay safe this hurricane season. Here are some things to keep in mind when getting ready for a hurricane :

It’s also a good idea to consider flood insurance for your home. When a disaster strikes, flood insurance policyholder claims are paid and you’ll be reimbursed for all of your covered losses. To be ready for whatever hurricane season throws your way this year, consider adding flood insurance to your home or business insurance policy. Stay safe, Brevard!
